destroy the barricades

This is a very easy way to get the materials for building the quarry/lumber yard/farm early if you are lucky with your map spawn. Also a good way to build towers/gates early on if you are doing a speed run.
 
Don't forget to pin them on the map for your best teammates!
 
Best way to get materials for sure, makes speedrun so much quicker
