Who is Norsfell?
We’re the makers of Tribes of Midgard - a team of 41, founded in 2013, located in Montreal, Canada. We have some members that work abroad too!

When did you start developing Tribes of Midgard?
We've been working on Tribes of Midgard for around 4 years now! We had 3 Closed Alphas and 3 Open Betas before release.

What is Tribes Of Midgard?
Tribes of Midgard is a co-op game with a unique blend of action, survival, and roguelite elements in which up to 10 players defend their village against Giants from Ragnarök. You play as an Einherjar, a legendary Viking hero.

Will the game have local co-op?
It is planned to have online co-op only- to play with others, you’ll need your own device.

Can I play solo?
Absolutely! It might be a bit easier to take down a Giant with a group of Vikings, but if you prefer to travel Midgard alone, the game will still be just as fun. The game will auto-scale according to the number of players in a world.

Will there be cross platform/cross play?
We would love for all Vikings to play together. Our goal for now was to ensure we could release on the new platforms (Xbox and Switch) and that things would run smoothly, with cross-platform planned to follow sometime in the future.

Is there cross-gen play?
Yes! There is cross gen and cross saves between PlayStation devices. There is also cross-gen play between Steam and EGS.

Does the game have modding support?
No, we are not currently planning to support mods.

Can I sabotage other players?
We have not designed sabotage/PvP mechanics in Tribes of Midgard, but we fully expect players to find a way. This is the nature of humanity.

How do I find players from my region/language?
Read #manage-roles-here and press the shape and colour that represents your language, platform and region - this will unlock a Looking For Group (LFG) channel.

How do I find a group?
Read #how-to-use-lfg to use proper post format, and send that post in the previously unlocked channel.

Where can I suggest ideas/feedback for the game?
We have a channel for suggestions: #suggest-an-idea and a channel, where you can discuss the community suggestions: #suggest-an-idea-discussion!

When was the latest major update?

Why do Worlds wipe at each major update?
For each major update, your World will be reset to make room for new content and features. Be sure to finish and Abandon your World before then!
