How to Repair Equipment in Tribes of Midgard
Repairing equipment while you’re home at your Village is essential to preparing before a long exploration journey. But you may ask... how do I do that? Well, you’ve come to the right place to find out how. Let's get into it!
First - how to know if your equipment needs repairing?
There are a few ways to check the status of your equipment. For weapons and shields, you can view its health on the bottom left, as seen here:For any other equipment, including armor, you’ll see these red indicators appear just above your character name, when they are close to breaking:
You can also always check their health in your inventory screen as well.
Saga Mode
Where to repair?
You can find the Repair Bench to the right-hand side of your village, just next to the War Chest. To repair an equipment, you can mouse/scroll over the item, and see how many Souls it will cost to repair. All equipment pieces are repaired via Souls or Repair Potion (see further below).
It’s important to take into consideration that sometimes crafting equipment of a higher tier might be a better move than repairing, considering you have the right materials to do so. Weapons are dependent on each other, so for example, crafting a Nornir Axe II consumes a Nornir Axe I. So - there may be no use repairing it if you plan to upgrade it anyway.
Repairing and Souls cost
As seen below, repairing a damaged Nornir Axe I costs 90 Souls.
However, another important thing to keep in mind is that once a weapon is broken, it will take more Souls to repair than if it were just damaged. As you can see here, it now costs 150 Souls to repair the axe instead of 90.
Survival Mode
Where to repair?
In Survival Mode, you can repair your items at the Allforge for Souls cost.Crafting a Repair Potion
If you take a visit to Olvir the Brewer, you can craft a Repair Potion.
To craft this potion, you’ll need:
- 5 Spruce Needles
- 4 Butterbur Roots
- 3 Henbane Extract
- 3 Frozen Pine Bark
Enjoy your adventures, and don’t forget to repair!
