How to Ride a Mount in Tribes of Midgard​

Mounts were newly introduced in the Valhalla Saga Update, Tribes of Midgard's latest major update on April 11th, 2023! This guide will cover all you need to know about equipping a Mount, riding a Mount, and what you need to know about its health, mount and dismount mechanics.

Let's get into it!

How to Equip a Mount​

To equip a Mount, head to the Customize tab in the Main Menu. Under "Accessories" you can find the Mounts symbol. The Horse (Amber) will be available to all players by default.

How to Unlock a Mount in Game​

To unlock a Mount in game, you must be Level 3 in Saga Mode, or Level 10 in Survival Mode.

Mounts Health: Keeping an eye on the HP Bar​

Mounts have health! You can see the HP bar indicated in green just under the Mount itself. When that reaches 0, you will dismount and your Mount will enter a cooldown period.

Mount Actions: Staying Mounted​

Some actions can be done while still Mounted - such as Opening Gates, talking to NPCs around the World of Midgard, and using Effigies.

Mount Actions: What will Dismount you?​

Some actions that you perform on your Mount will Dismount you, however, there will be NO cooldown and you can summon your Mount again immediately after! Actions such as Harvesting, Reviving a teammate, or fighting enemies will Dismount you.
