What do the Loot Bag Colors mean in Tribes of Midgard?
In Tribes of Midgard, there are two different colors of Loot Bags: brown, and blue. They are fundamentally different, and in this guide, we’ll explain why and where to find them.
Brown Loot bags
Brown loot bags represent individual loot items, meaning they can only be picked up once, by one player. Items in these bags can then afterwards be dropped and shared among players.Where to Find Brown Loot bags
These loot bags will drop:- After killing any creature or enemy
- When dropping items for other Players
- When opening a Chest
Blue Loot Bags
Blue Loot bags are shared loot items, meaning everyone in the World can recover these items so long as they are on the ground. Everyone receives an instance of these items. They generally will contain higher-level items, such as Tier II Materials (Wrought Iron, Cut Stone, etc)!Where to find Blue Loot Bags
These loot bags will appear:- After destroying a Barricade (see image below)
- After killing an Elite Creature
- When opening a Chest
A Barricade.
Loot Bag Glow Color
Occasionally, you might see a Loot Bag with a pink glow emanating from it. A pink glow means it's a highly important item: such as a Járnsaxa Trophy as found in Survival Mode, or Fragments.A loot bag with an orange-colored glow indicates (in Survival Mode) the Hálogi Map, which reveals the location of the Fire Giant, so that you can go out and hunt him!
Do Loot Bags disappear?
Yes, after a few in-game Days, Loot Bags will disappear. So if you break a Barricade or defeat a Giant, be sure to let your fellow Vikings know so that they can come pick up the loot!
