THE BASICS
What's my goal?
In Saga Mode, you must defend your Village from the impending Giants who threaten to destroy it, as well as complete Saga Quests to take down Ancients, all before it reaches Day 15, the Fimbulwinter (endless winter). In order to complete a run, exit via the Bifröst!
In Survival Mode, your goal is to explore, build your settlement, and take down various Ancients across the World.
What's the difference between the two Modes?
Saga Mode: a session-based mode where you delay the forces of Ragnarök before the endless winter takes hold. Explore by day, defend by night and loot 24/7. Fortify your Village and specialize in one of the 8 unique Classes before time runs out!
Survival: a more relaxed mode where you build your own story and take the fight to the enemy. Use the magical Allforge to craft Stations and Constructions to create your perfect Viking home and write your own legend by choosing among 90 skills!
How do I invite friends to my game?
Saga Mode: Use the invite button to create a lobby, but keep in mind that new players CANNOT join after the game is launched. Alternatively, you can search in Matchmaking to be paired with random players.
Survival Mode: Select the "browse" option in the Survival tab when creating a World and search for your friends' World - these can also be created private and password-protected.
How many people can join a Village?
Tribes can support up to 10 players in one Village. Room for all Vikings!
When does the game come to an end?
In Saga Mode, the game ends when the central tree in your Village, Yggdrasil, runs out of Souls and dies. Survival Mode goes on endlessly.
Why is the map different every time I make a World?
Tribes is based off procedural generation, meaning each time you make a new World, the area surrounding your Village will be different.
Does the game scale?
The game will scale to how many players are currently online.
GENERAL
Is there an AFK timer?
Yes. The game will remove AFK players after 3 in game days.
How long does a day last??
Saga Mode: A full in game day (Day + Night) lasts 10 minutes.
Survival Mode: A full in game day (Day + Night) will always last 20 minutes.
Can I fight Ancients Survival Mode?
Yes! You can fight them in both Modes.
Is there Fimbulwinter in Survival?
No - The Fimbulwinter (endless winter) is only found in Saga Mode.
What are Merchants and Sorcerers?
You can sell your spoils of war / resources / fragments to Merchants :Merchant: , and buy biome specific resources at Sorcerers :Sorcerer: .
Are drops individual or shared?
Loot inside brown bags is for an individual, loot inside blue bags is shared with all players. Runes will also spawn for everyone.
What is Fenrir's elemental weakness?
Fenrir is elementally neutral, meaning all weapons are equally strong / weak against the big pup!
What is the Linda pet and how do I get it?
That's Princess Linda - she's a reward for the Midguardians program! Find out more at: https://www.tribesofmidgard.com/midguardians/
How do I complete the 100-day achievement?
We recommend playing in a group, so that each player can do a chunk of days in the challenge, making it a lot easier on everyone! Try using our #how-to-use-lfg channels to find players .
Remember, you don't have to be there for all 100 days, nor do you need to do it in one sitting - you just need to be there at 100+ to get the achievement.
Is there a guide to unlocking classes?

Is there a cap for Golden Horns?
Golden Horns cap at 99 for now.
What is Survival 2.0?

IN-GAME SHOP
Will items in the shop return?
Items will rotate back into the Shop unless they are tied to a Festive Event. Essential items rotate daily, while the Featured shop rotation time is weekly, every Tuesday at 10:00am EST.
RUNES
Do Runes stack?Some do! Each Rune description that has a stat encased in [], scales with the amount of Runes you have.
Does Fenrir's lair count as underground for the "Like a Dwarf" Rune?
Yes it does.
Does Fenrir count as a Jötunn for the "Ire of Thor" Rune?
Nope! He's a big pup of Ragnarök unfortunately.
Does a shield count as armour in the "Nothing to Hide" Rune?
Nope! Feel free to be a Sentinel class with NTH Rune!
What does the Golden Egg rune do?

How do I repair my Tools?At the repair station - you can find it next to the War chest, between the blacksmith and armorer. Guide: https://bit.ly/TribesofMidgard-HowToRepair
How do I repair the Gates?
They cannot be "repaired" - you can either upgrade them, or give Souls to Yggdrasil, which heals the gates at all times and faster depending on the Souls it has.
How do I destroy structures I placed?
Go through the Construction menu until you find a little red hammer - then you can use this to destroy structures!
How do I mute / report people in game?
By going to "Settings" => "Social" then muting / reporting the specific player.
How do I remove people from my game?
If you are the host of a game, you can go to "Settings" => "Social" and remove players there.
How do I zoom out?
You can check the binds for PC and Console in the "Settings". Some classes also get further zooms!
How do elements work?
Elements are weak against themselves, and strong against their paired element. For example, fire and frost are weak to each other, thunder and dark are weak to each other.
