The solo mode of the saga you will need to understand there are certain times that will need things done to make it easier to win. In this guide, I will tell you when you can really take your time and complete the big objective.

First:
You need to find some equipment. You can start around the village by picking up some sticks and flint. You will need exactly 5 sticks and 3 flint to be able to make your first axe and pickaxe. Do them first and then you can go explore a bit more. Now you need to farm. Take all the things you found and focus on the steel and stone.

You need to build the quarry. It’s really important because it can be hard to find stone and steel in large quantities.

On the first day, you can get at least 500 soul and lvl up Steinar the Blacksmith and Eyrún the Tinker. With them, you can now craft a weapon and upgrade your tools. It’s really important to upgrade your tool, with that, you can get more resources and more soul when you farm, and you will need a lot of them.

If you lvl up the 2 NPC you don’t really need to defend the village on the first night. The tree will lose some hp but nothing important for now. You can take this time for exploration and find some rare resources. If you find a land of pools, you can find some Lunar Stormcap Mushrooms, take them. If you can’t at night, no worries, take them during the day too. You will need the mushroom for the final act.

On the second day,
The first Jotunn will appear; but no worries, you have time before he reaches the village. In this time I recommend you to lvl up your NPC at least to level 3 and to make the best weapon you can. Don’t forget to explore and to not lose much time in the village. The time runs and never comes back.

On the 3rd day it’s time to fight the jotunn. He is not already a threat to the village, but the next day you will have the first red moon and you don’t have the power to fight the two at the same time. You need to finish the quarry too, or at least finish it on the next day. Again, don’t forget to farm rock, wood, and steel. If you find some argent in the land of pool it’s good for upgrading your tools again.

The first Jotunn will have about 40 000 hp.
You need a bit of time to kill him, but you can do it. I believe in you. For the fight, you can rely on the guide concerning the jotunn, but don’t forget to use your soul before the fight. If you die you will lose all of them.

After the fight, you can take the recompense and you will unlock the Bifrost. Now you can leave the game and take your recompense from here. But it’s not finished, don’t leave now as you have a lot of things left to do!

Now you need to survive the red moon.
For that, you can start to build the door of the village. At least one or two of them. Close them and turn in the village. The jotunn will give you a lot of soul, you can use that to regenerate your tree and build what you need, or to lvl up the NPC who will help you for the defense.

Now that you have survived the first red moon, you can breathe a little.
The next night will not have an attack. It’s time for the farm. The first event is already here and you need it. He will give you soul and some material. On your way, don’t forget to farm again. If you do the event in no time you can take the night for the rare resource and continue to explore. You need to find the bridge and the Smoky Highlands with a Dungeon.

The Smoky Highland is your first priority, but take your time and clean all the camp you can. Farm the potion and keep them safe, you will need them. (Or you are too strong for me and I can't catch up). You can start to think about your next weapon and armor and farm for them. The dungeon will be indicated on your minimap with a big sign in red. (If you don’t see him wipe your eyes and look again) But don’t go in it yet, you don’t really have the time and it’s rather difficult.

Finish your farm and build a bit of your village. On day 6 the next jotunn will appear and on day 9 you have the next red moon. Deal with them like the first time but the difficulty has increased so take care.

After the second red moon, it’s time for the dungeon.
Leave your resources in the chest, use your soul, and then you can go into the dungeon. Don’t forget your potion and take a breath. The first time is always difficult, but you can do it ! You can rely on the guide about the dungeon. I think it will help you.

You have two days to finish it, and after that, it’s time to take your quest. If you can take an easy one like hunt a witch, then do it, it is fast.

Now you have found the bridge and you need to repair it.
That is why you have to farm this entire time, and why the quarry exists. Take your resources and build the bridge. Now, you have to reach the final point of the game. Find the final boss!

For that you need to make a potion to protect you against the cold and explore the new zone. You just need to run. Don’t bother to fight, you don’t need to farm anymore. You have already done everything and you need to find the boss before the next red moon.

When you have found it, you can open it. For that you need some resources but no worries, you have done the requirement for that. Take the shrine and return to your village. You need to defend it for the next red moon. Start to build your door to lvl 3, the archery towers are a good idea too. And prepare your equipment. Take as much potion as you can and wait the red moon out. The last boss fight is long and you don’t have the time in one day. Take your time to kill the 3 Jotunn before the red moon, it’s important or you will lose the game.

Now it’s time for the fight against the last boss and after that you can leave with the bifrost. You can rely on the guide about that to help you out.. I pray Odin and Freya for your victory !
