My question is this; how can the devs justify an in-game store for a survival building game when you actually can't build past the bare minimum of a single small base on your starter island due to the 500 build cap? You even advertise the game with pictures on steam of massive builds and bases that a player actually cannot even create themselves due to the build limit.. No limit to how much we can spend in your store, however. In my mind, there should also be a "buy-cap" on the MTX store, to 500 silver coins to match.

My friends and I otherwise have enjoyed the game up until this point, about 10 hours in, where we suddenly were given this abrupt notification that we have reached a before-unmentioned 500 build limit. We then had to go through an absolutely morbid task of tearing down half of our beautiful home we had made together as a team, just to progress in the game properly.

I then do some googling and see that his has been a problem with the game since launch and still has not been addressed, only expanded upon ever so slightly. Something tells me that this cap is so ingrained into the game code, that the game will never be able to handle anything more than this bare bones construction cap. Which is astonishing to me considering that the total amount of mtx in the game store are worth several times over what the games' actual price is.

How can this game be marketed as a building survival game, where making a home for yourself with crafting tables, docks, ships, etc., is severely restricted for players by implementing this 500 build cap? This is especially head-scratching when mobs constantly attack your base. You may end up losing some of your builds if they are not firmly defended with walls or fences.. which you cannot make because of the build cap.

Any survival game--Valheim, minecraft, Ark, V Rising, you name it--would not have been able to prosper as a community based multiplayer survival with a build cap. This needs to be #1 on the dev list. Not the new MTX "goodies."

Hello!

We had a build limit in place due to technical constraints, and in order to make sure the game ran as smooth as possible, though we completely understand the need (and want) for more Constructions in a World. We do apologize that the limit was not entirely clear at the start, and implemented a Construction meter in the top left in game in order to better track Constructions in the World.

For more context, during our Survival 2.0 revamp we had introduced the new Construction system, which caused some loading issues which we fixed in further updates. However, it's a constant wish of ours to continue optimizing this system and increasing the limit of Constructions as the game continues.

We increased the limit from 500 to 2500 at the Valhalloween Update in 2022, then just recently doubled that entirely (you can read more about that here): https://forums.tribesofmidgard.com/threads/tribes-of-midgard-construction-limit-update.1318/!

As we mention there, we’ve been hard at work optimizing and re-configuring our systems to loosen up some of the restrictions that were in place. Our goal is to continue working on these systems for even greater flexibility in the future!

We appreciate your understanding and patience in the meantime.
